More experienced mediators may well have valuable insights to share. Unless you know them already it can be awkward to befriend a colleague - however willing they may be - for a "one-off" consultation. You may want to consider whether you might achieve more by trying to arrange a slightly more "official" mentoring programme - even in the short term? I have always found members of lead mediation organisations such as CEDR and ADR etc to be extremely helpful in attitude and time in willing to assist us with such conversations if they can. Bottom line, speak to anyone who is confidential and then reflect yourself.
