Proactive measures must be taken to mitigate risks, such as keeping technology updated and patched, implementing security measures like encryption and access restrictions, and seeking guidance from IT security professionals for significant risks. Test the Vulnerabilities of the new technology. You should have a team that constantly checks the loopholes the technology may have by envisaging patterns based on users preferences. Introducing malware in a controlled setting helps the team know how and when to respond through practical examples. It's important to create a secure protocol for the path any attackers may take, so if they try to infiltrate the system they are automatically guided to an encrypted platform or system ready to harness their information and pin their location.

I work from home and have always taped off my laptop camera until I want to use it. I also use a VPN. Over the past two years, I've had several pretend blackmail emails stating that a person has watched me through my laptop camera and I'm to pay them a tidy sum through cryptocurrency, or, they would publish the snapshots of me and send them to all my email contacts, and then send a virus to my system. Uhmm? I wonder how many people get these bluffs? If these criminals tried to take a snapshot using my laptop, they would be presented with only a black image. Be aware of how low some people can sink, when after easy money! They might be desperate too! So, if possible, cover your laptop camera, unless you need to use it, and use a VPN!
