Luckily for me it has never happened to me but, first of all, I would take some time to reflect and analyze the causes of the failure. I would identify what contributed to the bad outcome and what I could have done differently. This analysis should help me draw lessons from the experience and avoid the same mistakes in the future. Furthermore, I think I would take full responsibility for the failure, even if there were external factors that contributed. I would take responsibility for demonstrating maturity and integrity, and for focusing on the corrective actions necessary to progress.

Success isn't far away as long as you work hard.
