Don't present it to the client. Go back and be honest about the value of form of function. There needs to be a beautiful mix of both in that any design plan should be beautiful and practical. Until you can provide both, sit tight, seek advice and re-design. Don't present until you can be confident.

If furniture is not working with the space your have to work in try changing the layout if it still does not work. You could always get creative like I love to do and literally incorporate 2 possibly 3 pieces together which often makes one of a kind masterpieces that have function and the wow factor. Don't be scared to create and be creative.
