One fine day at work, I realized I was just not excited about the projects on my table. That moment of self-reflection was crucial. I worked for a seasonal business, and unfortunately I don't have a degree in interior design, I however have been to school took interior design classes, even took architectural drafting classes. But it was at a technology center my 11th and 12th grade in high-school, half of my day I spent at bridgerland applied technology center dedicated to these 2 classes. Unfortunately I only got my high-school diploma and with the housing crisis that happened soon after I went with website Design and development, I love them all I just don't like sitting looking at a computer screen all day. I'm good at what I do I have avgreat eye for design, as well as a very creative mindset and literally can make something out of what I have sitting in front me.

Networking is very crucial for designers, it gives you more chances of meeting others who can use or recommend your services to clients , it not only gives your business a kick on the back side but helps you secure future jobs, For example if you do good networking this year, you might get more jobs for the next year Or two just by putting your self out there

This habit has expanded my toolkit and opened doors to projects I previously couldn't have imagined tackling. Design what you love and share it with the people. A designer dedicates his entire time researching and working on clients brief , there are lots of limitations and considerations to be taken care of. Get back to your old sketchbook, look out for your dream project which you always wanted to work on. No client brief,no restrictions.. Just like the awesome University time when you would not hesitate to think stupid , experiment with material and document it, prototype and share it on design websites , social media. You could possibly participate with the same project in a desig competition. It would give you a sense of satisfaction and that confidence about your capabilities.

Pivot! Find something that you enjoy to add to your professional world. It could be in your chosen profession, a tweak on how you do your craft, or try an entirely new path.If you're stuck- Move!

I have found many times that many of my clients feel like actors often explain their career pressures, like they are only as good as their last job, wondering and worrying what work is ahead and if their best work is behind them. I also find that as a designer, you must also trust your instincts as an artist. Sometimes working within the confines of what is required of you can limit your creative juices and you can get into a rut. I think it's very important to remind yourself of your core creativity and strengths by finding an inspiration, working around a piece or a room, maybe even your own, maybe a child's room, offer your services compassionately and create with no holds barred abandon, make life better for someone, be that artist.
