What do you do if your colleagues in the process automation industry have low emotional intelligence?

Why is this a thing? Why is there an article about low emotional intelligence in colleagues in the process automation field? Why is this different than any other field? Other than the fact that most people in this field are logical thinkers and then may have lower EQ. But does it really matter??? If we foster good communications, and recognize that people are different and therefore may want different methods of communication - this should NOT be an issue.

i think low EI can be present in any group or division and not specific to process automation. we need to first work with all individuals and observe their behaviour. this is crucial in build team work and collaboration. once we identify such individuals having low EI, we can work with them to improve.
