To understand Web3 as a whole is paramount that we become familiar with concepts that have been around longer like Peer-to-Peer(P2P), Game Theory (Relevant to BlockChain Consensus), Statistics, and Probability, and also a foundational understanding of concepts relative to cryptography and encryption. As I see it, beeing capable of understanding Web3 allows us to illustrate to others what is and what is not Web3, what are the actual intrinsic risks present as in any technology, and how to avoid, prevent, and minimize attack vectors. Technologies evolve and Web3 being quite a new concept along with Blockchain has gained malicious actors' interests, which does not imply or mean that Web3 is malicious or unsafe at its core.
