Adjustments then become smaller tweaks, not complete redoes of a project design, and you can exceed expectations.

Seek out something that is very important to them, even if you find it trivial, and celebrate it in your design. Make a big deal of its importance. Then find common ground within your clashing proposal and effectively communicate the benefits of your proposal to them. Effective communication may require some creativity on your end, so take note - it's not about preaching at your client. Use site visits, walk-throughs, VR, testimonials from others etc. Go the extra mile when trying to communicate thr value of an opposed idea.

Cost also plays a huge part in compromise. Solutions needs to fit within the parameters of what is possible. Providing a plan aligned to budget is always necessary, along with add on options for modifications. Clear priorities help guide the choices for compromise, to blend both vision and practicality.
