As a financial coach, it's important to help my clients understand their financial needs and goals. I encourage open discussions about their financial concerns, challenges, and aspirations making them comfortable and safe to share. I ask targeted questions to delve deeper into their financial situation to uncover underlying needs and goals and then conduct a comprehensive assessment. Understanding their values and priorities are key to their planning for family, career, children, lifestyle, and personal aspirations. Finally, I help them break down their goals into manageable steps. And we continue to review and reassess.

Of course need assessment of the client financial situation should be done. Most importantly, we should know the kind of business it is, and give appropriate solution for guidance.

I have two eyes, two ears, and one mouth. I start every conversation with my clients listening and observing. I ask them how they’re feeling and what their thoughts are on their situation. Then, I follow the W’s: What,Who, When, Why, How. Once I’ve ignited their fire or passion, I seek their permission to engage further building a forward map of their journey. Helping them in visualising what they want to achieve. ?? Providing a map and compass, I guide them toward their goals and desires efficiently. No more unnecessary detours! Active listening: Pay close attention to what your clients say and how they express themselves. Listen not just to the words they use but also to their tone, emotions, and any underlying concerns they might have.

Hay veces que las personas que quieren tomar una decisión acerca de un producto financiero, peroellos mismos no tiene claridad sobre lo que quieren, ?Qué tipo de producto?, ?A quien confiarle sus recursos?, no saben que tipo de condiciones contractuales existen, entre otras cosas. Questioning makes the prospective clear to understand for both, the one having ambiguity in respect of goals and the one who is going to provide the solution for that particular situation.

Asking the right questions is the most important part of the goal discovery process. Asking close-ended, non-directional questions won't get you anywhere. You need to understand and ask value—and priority-based questions that allow someone to talk for a while. Then, it comes down to listening and pulling the themes out of their response.

Ask insightful open ended questions: People don’t care about financial products themselves; they care about the results & effects these products bring to their lives. By asking the right critical questions, I understand them, their worries & frustrations & their hearts true desires which helps me tailor my advice to their specific situations. I am not afraid to talk about difficult subjects and have hard conversations clients are often unwilling to have with themselves. It is important to know clients core values & what is vital to them first, so any solutions are in alignment to that. Most people I work with are so overwhelmed with complex jargon that they are lost in a puddle of complicated products, zero exit strategy & no peace!

Once you get a clear view on the targets and main objectives, it is also critical to make your customer rank them. Very often, the foundation of the solution you try to set up can collapse if you are asked to shape a do-it all solution instead of adressing first the top priorities. That ranking is really useful when you need to sit and discuss with the client in the long run.

For a clear understanding of financial needs and goals one cannot rely on a single action rather this require a combination of several actions e.g. Understanding the client's business needs and prepare different options/plans and discuss with the client to understand their goal and based on the discussion finalize the plan and agree the targets of the plan to the full satisfaction of the client thereafter regularly review the performance along with the customer to the best of their satisfaction.

You're a "Cost Accountant" by trade! Meaning everything listed here you perform and work with your client, "shoulder-to-shoulder" with on a daily basis. You personally insure that all costs, profits, personnel, assets, liabilities, sales, etc., have been taken into consideration in preparing a clearly defined future for their company. You do this on a regular basis as this OS what you do! Everything is laid out and their Future is clearly in focus! Right? WRONG! What's missing? "WHAT IF...???" It's "nice" when plans work out as intended. However, the most well-crafted plans often FAIL as someone did NOT take into consideration...Murphy's Law!
