The most important lesson for me was: if you get the same feedback twice (or more) it can't be that wrong! Try and find a way around it and analyze why customers don't like that feature.

It can be hard to get to a point where you and your customer agree the design is actually done. I found it helpful to get the feedback in bulk. So make sure there is enough time for you customer to gather their tought. I try and discuss the design 1:1 while sharing the layouts with them. That makes it easier to point out wagt exactly they want. If you feel confident try making a deal on revisits, as in "We'll revisit this design 3 times and then we should reach a point where we are both satisfied with the outcome".

Keep your ego out of it. Often I find when I disagree with my clients input, or suggestions I am trying to control the outcome of the situation. I tend to curse the client but in reality I choose to see only my side of the coin. Once my anger has reduced I take a few deep breathes and ask, “what is best for the project? Am I reacting in self interest or of the clients?” - always the right direction comes to me.
