Here's what I did to rectify this: 1st: List out your reasoning 2nd: Ask your boss/client his side of the story 3rd: Try your best to meet in between for both As a production manager, learning to negotiate tasks and meet expectations holds equal importance. This scenario also proves your ability to work under pressure and deliver fair results to meet your boss's expectations (he/she probably has more experience as well). To end off: "Are you able to express your ideas clearly?"
