Even as you seek collaboration, don't forget the value of your own human resource. I was in a position where I analyzed contingencies in my organization. Even with an understanding of limited business knowledge, limited resources, and other hesitations, clear goals and common interests, multiple resources, a collaborative approach, and an example of planning for growth, the organization did not want to implement necessary challenges. We were thus unprepared for growth. This is frustrating and upsetting, especially when you are mission-driven.
