As a person that develops products, in my experience the only thing worse than no feedback is something we call “mom” feedback. This is feedback you get from people that are just being polite. Feedback your mom would provide. Mom feedback is common from friends and family. It is also common for entrepreneur to receive. Most people don’t want to hurt your feelings - especially for entrepreneurs and developers that are excited about their new product or feature. You should thank people that provide harsh feedback. This is how you learn and make things better. They may not be right but their critical feedback should be appreciated.

The initial step in dealing with critical feedback is embracing it with an open mind and a spirit of growth. In my experience, viewing criticism through the lens of opportunity rather than a setback is crucial. This approach requires a shift in perspective, seeing feedback not as a personal affront but as a valuable insight that can drive improvement.
