One of the key artifacts of agile ways of working is the team working agreement and you need to have one between yourself and the mentor that calls out how you both agree to work with each other. So if you feel that your mentor is not abiding by the working agreement , gently remind him/her and seek clarification. I totally agree. My approach would be the same, to appreciate my mentor based on what they can teach me. No one is perfect. There is still value in learning whatever they can impart to me. If I do find that it is lacking, then I will also turn to alternate resources, but still express gratitude for my current mentor
