What do you do if you want to prove your value and earn a higher salary in an ERP role?

For me, there are a couple of key points. 1. Don’t just rely on your technical abilities. Anyone can learn them. To get on in the ERP world, soft skills are more important. 2. Listen hard and build understanding of your business. Forge a relentless focus upon business goals. 3. Be a solutions guy, not a problems guy. Become known as the guy that gets things done. 4. Be optimistic. No-one likes a pessimist. 5. Work on presentation skills. Be able to think at a high level and talk at a low level. 6. Be honest and unafraid to voice opinions.

There are many ways to earn a higher salary if you're working with or for an ERP. # Always be ambitious and a philomath. Learning is the key to success. # Focus more on professional and soft skills rather suffering with technical skills. No doubt, technical skills are necessary but your professionalism will always take you to higher salary and growth. # Be focussed.

Following are Basic Skills :- 1) Listening - Listening does't mean only listening when others are talking or Instructing.. it is Observing the environment & Customers and all the happenings around. 2)Soft Skills:- a) Communication Skills - What to talk and when to Talk and whom to Talk. b) Networking - Open the Eyes and ears and look around all the technologies other than your own technology.. this will help us what is happening in the IT World. 3) Be Positive- Always ready for Trouble Shooting and look for the Options and Solutions.. 4) Ask for help :- No one in this world are born experts. Expertise come through many trouble shooting only. Hence Solve others problem automatically people around will come and help us.

The best way is to keep myself updated and do better than what I was doing previous time. I am a firm believer of “LEARN TO EARN” On top of keeping myself updated and implement the same by understanding the issues and needs of a customer in best possible way by differentiating myself with peers creates better outcomes and long lasting relationship. Once this happens the cascading effect will be humongous and will have many pathways ahead of us.
