If you don't get many opportunities to interact with other teams or departments in your organisation then ask your workplace supervisor. It's unlikely you'll be the first intern they've had, use their experience and knowledge and if there's another role or team that interests you ask to see if there's a way for you to be introduced.

If you want to maximise the benefits of completing multiple internships, you should first have the confidence to go after multiple internships, rather than feeling you can only do one. Most professionals think that just one internship will suffice, or there’s an arrogance to doing more than one. But you’ll gain far greater experience and understand more about what you want by exposing yourself to different environments. What’s more, if you only get one internship and you’re offered an ongoing position after it, you’ll have no idea about how this opportunity compares to other opportunities that could be available to you. If you can get one internship, that’s awesome. But if you can go after more, don’t limit yourself to one.
