Onboarding any new tool needs a detailed assessment on the few parameters: what is the problem at hand? Is it a people, process or product issue? how would technology help? Do most employees have common understanding of the problem? Is there any tool available that can address the problem? Can the tool integrate with existing tech stack? Will there be adoption of tool across teams? What will be return on technology investment & in what time? How would onboarding new tech disrupt current human capital & what’s the contingency plan? If the answer to all the above is a new tool, create a business case for the management, audit the vendors available and create a training & induction plan for the teams who will be working on it.
