From my experience of a career shift into data, we need to first understand the terminology and different job roles in the market. Roles like Data Analyst/ Data Engineer/ Data Scientist have blurred boundaries, understanding each role will help us in setting a goal and a roadmap. There is a lot of content available online which can be confusing, networking with people can help in understanding the latest tools. Implementing these steps and learning the basics of data will enable us to delve deep into the different tools available.

Practice fundamentals of SQL, Python, Python Automation (plus to have), Spreadsheet, Data Wrangling, Business understanding, and Visualization tools (Particularly, I work on Tableau). 3.
