However, it depends on when and how, so the first point is to wait for a good timing and then ask if they want to receive a feedback from you. Then, it's important to be constructive and respectful, especially if you want to provide some negative feedback.

In my role as a legal recruiter, the client is the law firm or company looking to hire, and the candidate is the person looking to fill the job. Therefore, I give feedback to my clients on ways to attract top-notch candidates, and to my candidates on their resume and interviewing techniques. Before I give my feedback, I preface it by asking "may I give you some advice?" Sharing negative feedback is always best done with a gentle touch. I can't think of a single instance of a candidate or a client being resistant to listening, particularly because we all have the same goal: finding the best candidates for the job. When you know better, you do better.

Any time we give feedback to someone, it's important to be specific. Just randomly ranting is not very helpful and there using examples and situations where you have observed a specific behaviour is helpful. Also delivering "I-messages" rather then "we".
