PERSONAL BRANDING IS THE NAME OF THE GAME! What people say about you when you are not in the room determines your promotion/success in an organization. 1. Observe & Learn: Observe what are the qualities and behaviour of existing seniors and the people that are being promoted. 2. Network: Being good at your job is not the only criterion for promotions anymore. People from different teams/functions and leadership teams should who who you are, what you do and the results you are driving for the company. Lunches with leaders is important!! 3. Initiative: Take initiative and volunteer for projects to engage with more people across the organization. Do this consistently and you will not be overlooked during promotions.
