These are usually one or two times a year. You need good feedback to be considered for promotion and pay rise. If you don’t have feedback you will not be promoted, get pay rise and bonus. If someone senior wants revenge you said something that insulted their ego they will write negative feedback. You don’t know about it. You just find you have no bonus, don’t get promoted, no pay rise. Consulting is unfair and full of narcissists people when you insult their overblown ego they will retaliate in feedback. It’s unfair, yes but consulting is about money narcissists thrive in it.
