I am presuming that you know what you might be interested in doing at this point in your life. You have both maturity and experience. Trust yourself. Your suit of transferable skills are well developed. In so many areas you can learn on the job ( and be co-piloted by AI these days!!). Being a good fit with your soft skills is as important as industry knowledge. If you don't know what you want to do but want a change, I recommend working with a coach or mentor at this point.

One thing I have found helpful is that one should never hesitate in assessing current acquired skills before taking a decision of career change Always remember your skills are your strength and never let it be the reason for lived weakness due to change in current environment Just choose to live in the present by updating your skills requirements!

The best way to research options in my experience is to look at what opportunities are on offer. What you are drawn to? Put in an application- what can you loose? Whatever you do don't think "I haven't got the qualifications or experience" and not put in an application. When doing an application consider your transferable skills and your transferable experience. Self- disqualification gets you nowhere.
