After the interview and before sending a thank you email, there is an important and often overlooked step. As soon as is practically possible, find a quiet space away from distractions to reflect on your interview experience. Record or write down your reflections. Consider sharing this with your certified career counselor (US) or qualified career development professional (UK) to process your thoughts, validate your experience, facilitate new insights and deepen your learning. Once you've removed all emotions from your perceived positive/negative experience, open up that draft thank you email, and complete it with confidence. Wishing you all the best with what can be, a very stressful experience!
