My point on this is simple and straightforward that basics are your solid base or the foundation of your project, the model you create makes sure you have a quality output, every time quantity doesn't matter. Create one but it should have the capacity to beat a 100. Just with one simple model with basics to full details like clean mesh,edge flow, textures helps you achieve a lot

What I have found helpful when I started learning 3d modeling is to learn by trial and error method in my free time (whenever I managed to have some during architecture school ??). I would just sit on my laptop trying to replicate 3d models of complicated buildings I like. That made me focus on learning only the tools I would likely need to use in my own models. - Finding a creative mentor who adopted the same approach to give me tips & tricks while also giving me a room to try to learn how to do it by myself first helped accelerate the learning process. The most important tip I would say: Use the techniques immediately after training on transferring your imagined ideas into actual 2d models and render. DO NOT WAIT TILL YOU MASTER IT! ??

To start with 3D modelling, the most important ability required is to be able to imagine and visualise in mind how the part is taking it's shape and dimensions from 2D planes to 3D. This ability can be easily developed with practice, be it on paper or in 3D modelling softwares. Getting hands on with different tools available in the 3D modelling softwares is the next important step which will facilitate creating the required shape features and dimensions of the part in 3D model. When it comes to 3D models as per mechanical design, being adept with mechanical concepts and calculations becomes very important in determining the right dimensions and features. DFM/DFA is the next critical step in making the 3D models suitable for manufacturing.

Once you're comfortable with the basics, challenge yourself with a variety of projects to showcase different skills. This could include environmental scenes, vehicles, creatures, or buildings.

I love the work of some great artists out there so my personal projects always are to understand how they create a great piece of still 3d or maybe an animation the lighting in some stills are my go to dissect the scene and try to re create it not to copy the goal is to achieve the same mood and to use it in your own style.

To enthrall your passion for 3D modeling, start with a strong base as it will serve as a foundation to build your future projects. Then try to create general objects ( building, machines, animations) to implement your knowledge. This will be diversified with more practice and recreation.

I am an autodidact and learned everything myself from online (paid) courses and tutorials. In my opinion, if you want to stand out, it is no ónly about your 3D modelling skills. There are so many perfectly modelled and rendered scenes that do not have a soul and that are therefore cold and impersonal. You have to broaden your horizon and read up on architecture, art(history), lighting (how do photographers work?) composition, colors and how they interact. And last but not least, add some ímperfections to make it real

As a 3D designer focusing on technical development of intimate apparel, I look out for accuracy in the 3d model that represents the physical construction of the garment. I.e. is the hook and eye accurate and to scale where are all the bar tacks located, how is the neckline finished ect.

I was obsessed with characters, the pursuit of realism and jumping over the uncanny valley Bart Simpson style. Yet unlike Bart I fell, every time That was until I expanded my interest, tried arch viz, product design, environment art, rigging & hand-painted stylised pieces. I challenged myself to learn how to emulate and master different skills and become a generalist ,genuinely valuable in all areas. My character work improved by proxy.. I had more solutions to problems, realistic trees helped my create better hair, product viz taught me to create more lifelike clothing and stylised artwork brought understanding of color and composition to my work. When starting working on a new skill set, we want to present every little technique we have learned so far; to the world, so remembering that portfolio should include masterpiece is important. Showcasing few best ones have more impact than filling up with large quantity of just "okay ones"

In the initial stage, the modeling will take longer to achieve a certain quality standard. Eventually, it will help to learn the hacks and shortcuts for the process. Find teams that are likely to succeed and projects that inspire genuine passion.

Algo importante y fundamental, es conocer muy bien la Geología del proyecto que se desea modelar en 3d. No solo basta con manejar las herramientas digitales. La toma de datos (Litologicos, alteración , mineralización, estructurales, etc) son basicos para crear un modelo robusto, explicito y dinámico. Discriminar los protolitos de interes, simplificar y codificar de manera ordenada, sencilla y eficiente para generar los dominios con el sentido geologico interpretado en equipo. Integrar todos los datos, ya sean geológicos, geoquímicos, geofisicos, etc. Esto permitirá discriminar no sólo la geología, sino también proyectar y/o predecir zonas exploratorias de interés. No solo debemos "Exprimir las rocas" sino, toda la información del GM.

As a 3D artist, I have a master's degree in 3D animation and a bachelor's degree in architecture, and I'm interested in making 3D worlds for video games & films. As I want to concentrate on my learnings, I would begin my portfolio with a piece that combines the greatest aspects of both worlds: a 3D scene with an animated character that I designed and modeled.
