Identify individual strengths each team member. ii. Assign roles/tasks accordingly. iii. Create a supportive environment where your team member feels comfortable to share their ideas. iv. Use a brainstorming technique to generate ideas and effective solutions for any problem. v. Offer support and development to help team members grow further and leverage their strengths. vi. I have often been surprised when spaces open up to discover hidden passions and talents of colleagues.

The team was so conflict averse that innovation, diversity of thought, innovation was squashed. This is what I consider to be my biggest asset. Especially when first starting out, I wasn't afraid to say "no." I do appreciate the respecting of boundaries, but the fact that I wasn't afraid to branch "outside of my job title," my experience is now built on problem solving outside my respected field which then attributes to experiences I can draw on within my respected field (which is marketing). There's no such thing as "too much experience," unless you're a company which I assure you, you don't want to work for! ;)
