In my experience, I have often had to remind people to stay focused on the objective and not fall into the trap of the solution, that is, to remember the substance and not the form. Indeed, VR has a fascinating and fun aspect to it, which makes it easy to get lost and invest time and resources into false good ideas that take us away from the objective.
