I'm unclear why virtual leadership coaching would hinder one's career. Anything but! To choose the right coach, I would recommend finding someone who is certified and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) because you know they've achieved the highest standards, and must keep their coaching knowledge current by achieving Continuing Education Credits. Then, get on a Zoom with two or three qualified coaches, and get a sense of their approach to coaching, and especially, the chemistry between you. Coaching is deeply personal. Who do you want on this journey with you? Who would you look forward to working with every two weeks? With which coach will you "go deep" and share what's really going on for you?

Learning is diverse. And the base for being diverse is acceptance. As a member of center for excellence for, CPD for EMCC, my experience says that limiting yourself to one kind of learning is always stagnating. Try a variety and pick the one that you enjoy the most. If virtual is not working for then fail fast and enrol yourself in a on-site program, work with a mentor or find a creative way to learn that unique to you.
