In turn, this will be perceived as not a defense but more as a discussion where all parties contribute to improve the current state. In order to be able to achieve this, understanding the issue is crucial, thus listening is the first and foremost attempt.

As mentioned here, listening carefully is the first major step to bring about Positive outcome and not only that it improves our perpestive which is not ours, which helps bring out and sharpens our skill and makes work much more efficient.As my colleague and me are working on same process we should collaborate and brain storm on improving the process by conducting sessions involving other collegues and we should be able to take criticism if any constuctively.
