What do you do if organizational changes require IT professionals to adapt?

Every change triggers fear at first. It is important to actively address this fear and show what the future could look like. If there are examples of successful change within the company, then these should definitely be included in the communication. I think it's important to use different media (town hall meeting, intranet news, team meeting, 1-1s) because every individual perceives the information differently.

As an IT professional, I encourage my team to embrace change and view it as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. By learning about new technologies, we can increase productivity and prepare ourselves for future challenges in this fast-paced industry. I make sure my team benefits from technological advances so we can provide the best solutions for our organization.

This one should be relatively easy for tech in general as by its very design, everything someone in tech works on should be adapting and pivoting as the world evolves and tech continues leaping forward. IT processes should be designed to allow this change and protect the business from any risk and impact. (my subjective opinion) A real USP is created when technical understanding and business expertise come together to convince stakeholders on the business and IT side and build up a followership. This is not only advantageous when implementing existing strategies but also when driving new, innovative ideas.
