What do you do if you need to save time as an electrical engineer?

Role of the Electrical Engineer is wide. We will do Calculation, Design, Review of Documents etc. What I used to do is : 1) Preparing a to-do list for the day, executing the same one by one. 2) Preparing a MS Excel sheet for calculation 3) Preparing a template for the Report and merging the calculation from Excel. 4) Using simulation tools to validate the calculation ( Eg: ETAP for Transformer Sizing) 5) Preparing a check list to review the Documents 6) Using AI tools to draft a mail or report

Here is what I do to save my time as an electrical engineer. -Making a list of task based on criticality and deadlines to focus effectively. -Using MS Project to make schedules for streamlined communication and task tracking and updating if necessary. -Making standard templates and documentation to minimize repetitive work e.g. RFP, RFQ, etc -Delegate non-critical tasks to capable team members to distribute workload effectively and this helps me a lot with managing my day-to-day activities.

Many of my friends suffer from burnout syndromes. Because they have time for burnout. I don't have burnout because I don't have time for burnout. That's why I don't like to save time.

By assessing team members' skills and delegating tasks accordingly, we can save time and empower team members to take on more responsibility. Identify what’s the items that require highest priority and then fully immerse ( focus) to complete the task. Also learn how to be resourceful to find the required standards and inputs for the task. Learn to delegate some tasks to team members that require some further research and enquiry in product for example.
