First of all, starting 5s should be done in plant maintenance, after that if any breakdown comes, it is necessary to find out its cause and after that, it is necessary to take quick action to find out the reason, after that, kaizen should also be taken care of and it is necessary to have a checklist for the most important things of all the equipment.Thats all. I always start with a visual inspection of each machine with the #MAINTENANCETEAM and #OPERATIONS. The operators there the most and I have found out that they normally have no problem with pointing out the minute details which normally lead to the #ROOTCAUSE. They are on their particular machines day in and day out. They are a #KEY ASSET in turning the Page! I then check the Stockroom, if they have one and make sure there is adequate storage and Spares in order to have #SUSTAINABILITY. I also try to make #MACHINERY CHECKLISTS and BREAKDOWN REPORTS to document the problem areas. I have found that #POOR COMMUNICATION, LEADERSHIP & TRAINING are normally the cause of the MACHINES IN THE STATE OF DECAY.
