What do you do if you encounter logical fallacies in the classroom?
As a teacher, you might sometimes hear students present arguments that seem sound at first but are actually based on logical fallacies. Logical fallacies are errors in reasoning that undermine the logic of an argument. They can be intentional or accidental, but either way, they present an excellent opportunity for teaching critical thinking skills. When you encounter logical fallacies in the classroom, it's important to address them constructively, guiding students to better reasoning without discouraging their participation.
