I am of the opinion if its an interview or a real-time solution, If its about Data Privacy and Security Use case will include PII Data. There are options in which we can mask the data, Lets say use case is about migration, then masking of PII Data and later on Unmasking should be incorporated so that Data Privacy and Security remains intact and Zero Possibility of Data Breach.

First thing that you need to do in my experience is avoid panicking and gossiping. People tend to be afraid and involve as many people as possible and this is the first needs the privacy team or security team that has knowledge of the incident should do. The more people that are involved, the worse it may get or the easiest it can be to join the state of panick and not focus on the most important topic, which is stop the incident. Once we’ve been able to avoid or control the people involved, let the experts, the true ones do their magic to solve or mitigate any additional risk.
