There are multiple ways I've utilized blogs to put across my message: - Listicles: Concise list form to ensure your readers gets it all and lets him/her to explore each point further later. Great for SEO. - Infographics: Graphical representation of your content which is crisp and precise. - Video Blog: Has both, a video and an explanation through text below. - How to Guides: Instructions to solve your leaders problems. - Case studies: Everyone loves to read a success story. - Review blogs: For a product or service. They work well if detailed, with apt pictures of the product. - Comparison guides: Great blog idea if you are selling things that are expensive. - Picture blogs: Purely images with captions Whatever the blog, content matters!

Broadly speaking there are two types of blog posts. 1. Content that is meant to be read only. 2. Content that is mean to convert (to generate a lead or move to a lower funnel stage). If all your blog posts are the latter, your brand will come off looking needy, used car salesy, or desperate. This hurts your brand equity, while discouraging followership or subscriptions (nobody wants to subscribe to an endlessly repeated sales pitch). So ignore some of the advice you see on LinkedIn. Blogs shouldn't solely be about conversion.

We are seeing different kinds of articles. The type of articles is defined with the intent. If you are looking to educate people, then you can write informative articles like how-to articles. If you intend to sell something, then you can write product reviews or top 10 kinds of articles. If you are looking to share your personal experience on something, then you can write a case study article. Hope you get the idea here. The type of article you are going to write is defined by your end goal and what intent you are looking to give answers for.
