As ferramentas estatísticas s?o uma grande aliada no tratamento de banco de dados robustos, como os que derivam de estudos de mecanica das rochas. A estatística multivariada é uma ferramenta fundamental para a análise desse tipo de banco de dados que, aliada com rotinas de aprendizado de máquina, como scripts de redes neurais, lógica fuzzy neural adaptativa (ANFIS) e regress?es lineares, correspondem a bons métodos orientados para análise de dados.
