The SFX have to be used purposefully and mixed well so that they don’t come out of nowhere and so that the sound blends into the edit and doesn’t over power. If he SFX are lower quality that can make the cut sound bad. High quality SFX that are used purposefully are essential to a good edit!

Always include shots / stills / concepts / boards / examples that exemplify your contributions the most and that display your capabilities highly. For something like Lighting & Cinematography, action shots may not be the best portrayer when compared to large establishing shots that demonstrate key techniques in lighting and composition.
