It totally depends on your software/system on how and which coding standards you want to apply, you are having a pretty big user base and application usage you would consider using CQRS pattern/standard which will again help in optimised code base along with separation of concerns, if you are having a medium scale application with not many databases, then you should go with monolith style, because if you use microservice or any other architecture, it will cause bottleneck in your application which in unnecessary if the application is small to medium sized!
