What can you learn from successful collaboration in Robotics?

Developing my surgical robot in conjunction with ongoing research at Johns Hopkins University was an incredibly enriching experience. I got constant input from engineering experts from multiple fields, as well as a wide range of clinicians who helped guide the development of the system all the way. Getting input like that from such an early point in development all the way through our recent FDA clearance helped ensure that we brought a robot to market that truly fit an underserved market in a way he hope will make a difference to the surgeons and ultimately to the patients.
