Then and only then you can incorporate jokes through your examples and have fun in the process!

I somewhat agree. However , I don't think there is such a thing as "best topic". Mainly due to some people being over-sensitive. For some people, humour has rules and boundaries, which led to what is now known as "cancellation culture". So thread carefully when using humour in class. I love cracking jokes in class, and I love laughing at myself. Fortunately, the latter seems to be a fan of my students, so no harm done!
