I absolutely agree with this. Administrative assistant often expected to know the ins and outs of technology. An example of this is prior to COVID-19, Zoom was not a household name, now it’s a verb. Also important to remember is admministrative assistant needs to be adaptable to maintain their competitive edge and stay relevant.

When you are the go to person for advise by others for your wisdom & knowledge, respected by BOD, EXCO & everyone you engage with internally or externally - you are an Outstanding Administrator. Be confident yet humble, be creative, go the distance, intuitive, read the room, understand your org culture & direction, exude positive energy to bring people together, not limit yourself to your JD, be out of the box of the norm, foresee what is needed to ensure success in tasks undertaken & pick up what people miss, fast to turnaround a bad situation to success and ultimately be great at networking.
