Communication on a regular basis is one of the key aspects for asking a promotion from your boss and communication with the peer group and updating the daily activities with special achievements and highlights, collaborating across cross-functional teams and taking up assignments, and applying the regular learnings on the job and sharing with your boss. 360 degree feedback is very important and working on the same and sharing with boss. When my clients tell me they want to ask for a promotion, the first question I have for them is "why?" Usually, I get a blank stare, a "duh," or "I want more money." As you can imagine, none of these answers is going to impress when your boss asks you the same question. So do better! What benefit does promoting you bring to the organization? Work that out and then start designing your promo ask!

We often do a lot of things that we don't keep a tab on. I like making a list of things I have worked on and accomplished in an org, and i keep adding to that list whenever I work on something new. By the time of promotion, I have a solid list with reasons why I'm an asset to the company. When asking for a hike/promotion, be specific, be data-driven, be confident.

Um Gehaltserh?hungen allgemein zu verhandeln, gibt es sicher viele Verhandlungstipps und gute Vorgehensweisen. Aber allgemein sollte der beachtet werden, dass es nicht reicht beispielsweise nur zu behaupten, dass man ein Team Player ist, es braucht konkrete Beispiele mit genauen Aufgaben und Projekten, die Rolle un den Mehrwert, der durch den Einsatz gestiftet wurde. Wo habe ich konkret meine Teamkollegen unterstützt? Wie habe ich dadurch die Ergebnisse oder die Team Atmosph?re beeinflusst. Jeder Vorgesetzte will den Mehrwert des Mitarbeitenden erkennen und braucht deshalb eine klare und zielgerichtete Verhandlungsposition seines Gegenübers.
