What are the best ways to innovate for a more diverse and inclusive business ecosystem?

I feel strongly about women and leveraging their diversity among all the other ways people have mentioned. I have made observations in fields like engineering, technology, and mining. Women stepping into these traditionally male spaces often face tough challenges. They might need help with the physical demands in environments not originally designed for them or feel like outsiders amid jargon-heavy, male-dominated conversations. When we truly embrace diversity, we're not just ticking off a list. We're building a diverse business ecosystem that buzzes with creativity, solves problems more effectively, and mirrors the rich tapestry of our society. It's a journey of empathy, understanding, and respect that nurtures innovation.

An open mindset at all levels of organisational hierarchy and consistency in adopting diversity and inclusion in every business activity will lead I achieve this goal.

Innovation has to be entrenched in your culture and values. Provide an environment for team members to express themselves and reward them for being innovative. There has to be no fear of failure and Leadership team needs to walk the talk. Having metrics that measures innovation is essential. Important to have innovation as one of the pillars of your strategy and every team meeting needs to discuss this critical element. Also important to put innovation into perspective. It's not about technology but improving processes, customer experiences and organisational efficiencies. Eliminating the non value adding tasks and processes, creating a differentiation and delighting customers.

In my opinion, we need to create an enabling environment for a diverse & inclusive business ecosystem. This is possible by allowing three kind of accesses to everyone. 1. Access to education for entrepreneurial bodies & start-up leaders. 2. Access to social capital which includes mentors & technical support channels. 3. Access to finance capital.

I have observed that organisations that build in good interactions and experiences with their customers are the ones that find it easier to offer their products and get sales

It’s important to try new things and not be set in the old ways. It’s the only way to innovate. With that said, it’s important that people feel comfortable and empowered to share their ideas.

It is very important to research and develop our products and services to suit our end user and or clients from the on set. The more we design our products and services to accommodate a wider range is the more versatile and popular our brand becomes.
