I believe, that people must be realistic when assessing their skills. This should be like self-evaluation based on real achievement. Being certified in PMBOK or PRINCE2 is a good basement, but is does not guarantee that the person has the required skills. Now, ask yourself the following questions: 1. Which project I have been working on for the last 3 years and what was my role? 2. How were these projects finished? Did they reach the required quality within the defined time and cost constraints? 3. Which was the area of my responsibility and what was my performance? 4. If I manage the same projects again, what I would change? 5. Did I see other team members making errors? 6. Am I ready for the bigger project challenge?
