Data + system = Analytics + reporting Start with the end in mind. Define what output is necessary and then identify the tools and input required to produce them. Of course, having good, structured data to start with is ideal, but not always possible and often necessary in one way or another anyway. Not being clear about the desired outcome is often more problematic. Investing in data science capabilities can actually help to solve both parts of the equation, which I think should be foremost in developing effective treasury management reporting practices in principle. The tools and processes need to be robust, dynamic and lead to automation and digitization of the capability. Once relative maturity is reached, add AI.
