To build trust with your vendors, the following few points are of utmost importance : 1. Clear communication 2. Value their time 3. Hear their issues out(rather than evading them) 4. Constant follow up to improve further These 4 major points have surely helped me build trust and a strong relationship with my vendors, as I believe that trust building is always a two way process. If built in the right manner, its lasts longer.

In my experience, knowing a little more about the vendor, other than the business side, and showing a genuine interest, has put me in good standing and they are more willing to go the extra mile with my requests.

When selecting vendors for your event, be sure that the experience is mutually beneficial to all parties involved - You (your business), The Vendor and The Attendees. Select vendors who offer services and/or products that are complimentary to your business products and/or services and have the potential to help you attendee scale their businesses or personal or professional development in business.

One thing I've found helpful is ensuring that they are paid on time. No vendor likes to chase after payments and by ensuring this, I receive the best service as they know that they will not have issues with payment.
