I'd say one of more masterful qualities is the ability to think outside the box in combination with a very thorough and thoughtful analysis and summation with a detail introspective of calculations, careful not to misplace one iota of energy loss but to allocate for everything, one such common trait overlooked in power distribution systems is transformer parasitical loads especially in large transformers as well as circuit impedance, and inadvertent circuit heating.

Having basics knowledges is important but in order to be the most efficient in this fields, you should be curious. Energy efficiency is one of the topic of the decade. So there is a lot of innovations, stay connected !
