Within the accounting teams I worked with in the past, I always believed in everyone ensuring we are all on the same page to accomplish the goals, especially during the month close period. I would hold meetings prior to the month close period so we can prepare a game plan to ensure we close the month accurately and in a timely manner.

I had introduced departmental meetings at some of the places I worked and it has helped a lot. During these meetings, we set goals for the week/month and share the tasks according to everyone's strength. This helps engage everyone, allows everyone to recognize their strengths and work on their weaknesses. I always believe in effective communication.
