In my opinion, there are two ways of creating your IT consulting portfolio first a general portfolio of your niche wherein you can be approached by anyone looking for that skill set and second is when you identify an organisation or client and customise your portfolio with their requirements in mind Both the approaches have their own merit and demerits To conclude I will say that not one size fits all so use both methodology to get the best possible opportunity
