What are the best ways to build a diverse and inclusive community around your Blockchain application?

You need to know why and what problem you're trying to solve. What makes you any different and why should people choose YOU. This will help you in crafting out your target audience while building a viable product

Every community has to know what you're in for. Make it easy for everyone who stumbles upon your project to see what to expect, why everyone is gathering there, and what the connecting thread for everyone is. Also show, that you're building on crypto-values, such as collaboration and openness. If you're not aware of that, you just attract degens to your channels that turn it into a pump-and-dump group. If you hit the sweet spot, your GitHub-repo get ???? and PRs with people who really want to build.

There's so much competition that wants the attention of your community. Therefore you have to offer those three things: 1?? ?? Building a diverse blockchain community isn't just about incentives or communication. It's a deeper commitment. Think of your dApp as a social ecosystem, not just a product. Make blockchain simple and accessible to all. True inclusivity? It's about bringing diverse voices to the forefront, beyond just gamification. Partner with varied groups, make everyone feel heard and valued. Diversity isn't a checkbox; it's the key to enriching your app’s evolution.

I realized that only an un-scalable approach is the way to do so: meet the people in a 1-to-1 setting, and also try out new channels. Ask to speak at a local developers' meetup, a women-only event (e.g. Wom3n DAO), connect with your community in small groups without a stage, and follow the "pacman-principle" (i.e. stand in a circle, but always with one place open to let others join in).

While inclusivity is important, tailoring your application to serve a particular community deeply can lead to breakthroughs in functionality and user experience. This focused approach doesn't exclude diversity; rather, it allows for the creation of varied, specialized dApps, each serving different needs effectively within the broader ecosystem.

Crypto is all about incentives. Bitcoin was built that way, to incentivize the maximization of network security. Do the same with the available tools: have an ambassador program with rewards, make their work visible (publish their name to a wiki-page), have a leaderboard, and use tipping-tools. If you're crazy and bold, have a grant just for micro-influencers, to make people get skin-in-the-game, to make your project a success.

If you don't align with your ecosystem, you might have to delete tons of code, because an EIP, ERC, LSPS, etc. has turned a different direction of your roadmap. The great thing is, that this roadmap can be shaped. Developers have to check the results of working groups. Founders in Europe have to discuss with regulators the direction of MICAr. Marketers on narratives and the newest market that is waking up to web3. Some want to build a moat around their business, others are helping to lift the common cause. Stick with the work that helps the whole ecosystem.
