You should start from the domain you are interested in, and then choose the programming language that is best suited for it. After you choose the right language, the next step is usually to choose the right framework for that language and specialize in it.

One of the best way is to keep yourself updated with the latest technology and trends. It helps in longer run. Nowadays technology is changing every other day. If you don’t keep yourself updated then it is very difficult to survive.

As I've stated in other posts, the best way in my opinion to learn is to pick a project and go. As an example, I have no interest really in working as a game developer. That said, I'm currently learning to build games, not to be a game developer but to broaden my knowledge and "build something" to show I know what I'm doing. Yes, I code at work, but while it looks good on a resume, I can't exactly show confidential information and code to a prospective employer. A game is something tangible to show off, and teaches you new skills at the same time!

Read and understand the code in an existing, high-value open-source project. This teaches you several things: 1. How to write idiomatically for your target language 2. Design patterns and approaches 3. Programming techniques specific to the problem being solved 4. Code-reading comprehension 5. Testing, review, and release process

Regardless of your skill, pair with someone better than yourself. Ask a lot of questions. Become a padawan until you can cleanly snatch the pebble. Then become someone else's sensei. And start all over again. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I'll give you a breakdown of how I structured my book: 1. Learn technical skills: include mindset, agility, Git/version control, and command line interface skills. 2. Community/network: Find people to support your learning journey, ideally both online and offline. Get a good idea of who you are as a person and what value you have to offer a future job/company. Use that to introduce yourself and create a 'brand' in the tech world so people remember you. 3. If you're a beginner, I would first recommend getting familiar with binary numbers (0 & 1) and the associated concepts since that is the base of computer programming I would advise you to start with Python after that. That is a very good language if you have 0 experience. It will also help you with scripting, as well as AI as a career option in the future. Then, it would be a good idea to move onto C and C++. That helps a lot, especially in terms of understanding memory and platform dependence Then move onto data structures and algorithms. Finally move onto practicing Leetcode questions. It will also help to get courses in database management systems and operating systems

Master the fundamental concepts of programming, like data structures, algorithms, etc. Understand what happens in memory when declaring reference type variables. Regularly LeetCode (or similar) to strengthen your coding skills, and understand time and space complexity. Grasp the underlying principles of everything you learn, from OOP concepts to design patterns. Continue learning from conferences, study groups, bootcamp, certifications, and hackathons. Contribute to open-source projects and/or develop your personal projects. Share your learning journey by writing blogs or speaking at events and conferences, and in tech communities.
